SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed with regard to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service issue established for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to permit the servicing of all buyers and here increase entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
